Looking to shake off a few weeks of frustrating losses, Lakewood and Cabrillo head into Friday’s Moore League matchup ready for a get-right game that will give each team some momentum heading into the second half of the season.
Lakewood is coming off an impressive three quarters of action against Poly last week and will looks for Kade Casillas to lead the offense as the Lancers host the Jaguars for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
This is Lakewood’s fourth consecutive home game, and the Lancers are looking to snap their three-game losing streak at John Ford Stadium, with two of those defeats coming in one-score games.
For Cabrillo, they will looks to clean up their play after having 20 penalties in a one-score loss to Compton. Sophomore WR D’Jon Pittman will be leaned on to have some momentum swinging plays as the Jaguars look to get their first Moore League win.
Cabrillo’s last victory over Lakewood was back in 2017 as the Lancers have won four straight over the Jags.
