The Long Beach Poly football team is off to its best start to the season since 2008 and is loaded with Division 1-caliber talent on both sides of the ball, and the national football media is noticing. The Jackrabbits entered MaxPreps’ national rankings for the first time since 2017 this week, earning a No. 25 ranking after beating Millikan 42-0 this week.
The Jackrabbits are the fourth team from Southern California to be ranked in the national top 25, behind St. John Bosco, Mater Dei, and Corona Centennial. Poly is also ranked fourth in the CIF Southern Section and in the State by the CalPreps computer rankings.
The Jackrabbits will travel to Wilson this Friday for the Big Game at 7 p.m.
