Saiheron Preciado-Meza, Lakewood Wrestling
Lakewood wrestler Saiheron Preciado-Meza just wrapped up a great postseason run. She won the CIF Masters championship at 189 pounds and went on to take third at state. She finished 34-1 with 30 pins.
Nala Williams, Long Beach Poly Basketball
Poly senior Nala Williams led the Jackrabbits to a first-round CIF State playoff win last week. Playing hurt as she has all postseason, she finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and six steals, leading the team in all categories.
Eric Bonales, Millikan Basketball
Millikan senior Eric Bonales is one of the role players who stepped up for the Rams during their historic playoff run. Last week he hit a game-winning three-pointer in overtime to give the Rams a second-round state playoff win.
COLLEGE
Jordan Roberts, Long Beach State Basketball
Senior Jordan Roberts broke the Long Beach State games played record while helping lead the Beach to a pair of wins to clinch the Big West regular season title. Roberts scored 12 points against UC Davis, and then tied his career-high with 20 points in the regular-season finale against UC Riverside.
