Jason Parra, Millikan Cross Country
In his first Moore League race, freshman Jason Parra shined against Wilson last week. The Rams’ rising star won the first dual meet of the season with a three-mile time of 15:24, proving why there was such high anticipation for his high school debut.
Isabella Stockalper, Millikan Cross Country
Millikan senior Isabella Stockalper led her team to the 2019 Moore League title and she looks poised to do it again in the 2020-21 school year. Stockalper won the girls’ dual meet against Wilson last week with a three-mile time of 19:24, with five teammates finishing behind her.
COLLEGE
Michael Carter III, Long Beach State Basketball
MC3 led the Beach in scoring in a pair of wins over Cal Poly last weekend, the team’s first home games in a month. Carter III had a 23-point, 10-rebound double double in the Friday game then followed it up with 15 points in a win on Saturday.
