An LBC native, Mike Guardabascio has been covering Long Beach sports professionally for 13 years, with his work published in dozens of Southern California magazines and newspapers. He's won numerous awards for his writing as well as the CIF Southern Section’s Champion For Character Award, and is the author of three books about Long Beach history.
Not since the late 1980’s had Millikan Softball won four consecutive Moore League titles, but that’s where the Rams find themselves entering the 2025 campaign. The last three league championships have been claimed under the leadership of head coach Michelle Lehr and top assistant Mike Mathis, culminating in a perfect 12-0 league season last spring. […]
