The Long Beach Poly girls’ soccer team earned its way into the CIF Southern Section Division 2 quarterfinals on Friday evening, going on the road to Roosevelt to take home a 3-1 win.
Skylar Herrera, Morgan King, and Isabella Yakel scored the goals, which puts Poly’s two-game playoff total at six so far. Next up is No. 3 seed Ventura, who Poly will host on Tuesday, likely at 5 p.m. at Cabrillo, although that change has not been officially confirmed or announced yet.
