Jordan has offered its football coaching position to Alfred Rowe and he’s accepted, Rowe confirmed.
“I’m extremely excited,” he said in an interview this week. “Maybe it’s just fate. This is where I belong–I’m happy to finally get the opportunity and to be here. I have a great support staff at Jordan, the administration here are 100% behind me in everything we do. They asked what I needed and checked off every item.”
Rowe is a Long Beach Poly alum with roots in North Long Beach. He played at USC after graduating Poly in 2006, with his brothers Kenny (Oregon) and Matthew (Arizona State) also going to the NCAA from Poly.
Rowe’s father, Alfred Rowe Sr., is a Jordan alum and a former Poly assistant coach, who is expected to be a part of his son’s coaching staff at his alma mater.
Rowe had been an assistant coach at Wilson, Cabrillo, and Millikan over the last decade as well as at the NCAA level at New Mexico Highlands and Texas A&M Kingsville.
“I’m excited I get an opportunity to come back to my hometown and give back to the community,” he said.
