The Wilson and Cabrillo boys’ soccer teams took two more huge steps towards setting up Moore League championship game on Monday.
Wilson 2, Lakewood 0
Seniors Javi Cervantes and Brayan Mora scored the goals for the Bruins in this road win, while goalkeeper Norman Chang and the Wilson defense collected its 10th clean sheet of the season. Cervantes scored on a quick strike in the first half before Mora drew and converted a penalty kick in the second half.
Cabrillo 2, Jordan 1
Cabrillo senior Jafet Castillo Ortega found Arnold Giron for a first-minute goal, and after Jordan equalized 14 minutes later, Giron found Bryan Valenzuela Chavez for the game-winning goal in the 75th minute.
Poly 7, Compton 0
The Jackrabbits are undefeated in their last four games.
