It’s Championship Weekend for the CIF-SS football playoffs, and a pair of Long Beach schools will be playing for a plaque this Saturday night.
Wilson at Highland, Saturday 7 p.m.
The Wilson Bruins will be on the road in Palmdale, taking on the Highland Bulldogs in the Division 9 championship game. It’s the first CIF title game in program history and the Bruins are looking to make even more history with a win.

St. Anthony vs. Silverado, Saturday 7 p.m.
In the Division 10 championship game, St. Anthony will be hosting Silverado High at the St. Anthony High School Athletic Complex, the first time the renovated venue has hosted a CIF championship event. Additional bleacher seating will be added behind the end zones for each school’s student section, increasing capacity to 1,700 for Saturday night.
