Nadia Mejia, Wilson Cross Country

Wilson junior Nadia Mejia was the fastest Long Beach runner in the girls’ CIF-SS Division 1 Finals. She set a school record for the Bruins with a 18:36 finish, good enough for 18th overall in the race.

Deuce Weston had two touchdowns and 250 total yards in the CIF-SS Division 9 semifinals, leading Wilson to a win and sending them to their first-ever CIF-SS championship game.

Jeremiah Taufi, St. Anthony Football

Jeremiah Taufi helped propel the Saints to the CIF-SS Division 10 championship game with a huge performance in the semis. He led the team in tackles, had an interception, and won the game with a 28-yard touchdown run in the second half.

COLLEGE
