Compton College will be the site for an important Moore League football clash between Wilson and Jordan on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Wilson (5-3, 2-2) is coming off a 42-19 loss to Long Beach Poly despite a valiant first half effort. The Bruins have shown massive improvement on both sides of the ball, and won four of five games before the Poly loss.
The Bruins need a win over Jordan to stay in the hunt for third place in the league standings. Wilson is currently tied with Lakewood and plays the Lancers in the regular season finale next week.
Jordan (2-6, 1-3) is right behind Wilson in the standings after an emotional rivalry game win over Compton last week. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak for the Panthers, and they can shake up the league standings with an upset.
