Millikan boys’ golf cruised to a 200-272 victory over Cabrillo at El Dorado Park Golf Course on Thursday in Moore League action.
Rams senior Tyler Lao was the medalist with a round of 37 and freshman teammate Tyler Carmichael carded a 38. Joe Gogue was the low finisher for Cabrillo.
Cabrillo senior Jonathan Ocampo has also been great for the Jaguars, and broke a school record by shooting 39 at Recreation Park Golf Course against Wilson earlier this week.
“He’s a special young man,” said Cabrillo coach Blake Dorman of Ocampo, who is going to Stanford. “He’s one of the best golfers we’ve ever had. He’s earned a GPA of 4.4 and he’s involved in so many activities at Cabrillo. He’s everything you want in a student-athlete. He’s what it means to be a Jaguar. Jonathan, your coach and your school community are proud of you.”
