The Beach are back in Henderson for the Big West Women’s Basketball Tournament, earning a No. 6 seed this season. Long Beach State will match up with No. 7 seed UC Riverside in Wednesday’s first round, with tipoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
That is the same way LBSU opened last season’s conference tourney, only as a 7-seed, and ultimately made a run to the semifinals before falling to eventual champions UC Irvine.
Long Beach swept both meetings with UC Riverside this season, and if they can improve to 3-0 against the Highlanders they’ll face UC Davis in the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
All games will be played at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson, Nev. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
