Kai Fontenot had Wilson’s two goals in the first half in the Bruins’ 2-0 win over Millikan. The University of Miami commit has her team in first place early in the season with a big win.
Aaya McLyn, Long Beach Poly Soccer
Washington State commit Aaya McLyn put the game away for Poly in the second half last week against Lakewood with a pair of long-range goals in the 4-0 win.
Nyemah King, Lakewood Basketball
Lakewood senior Nyemah King led her team to a championship in the Norwalk/Glenn Tournament. King was named Tournament MVP and also crossed 2,000 career points with the Lancers.

Devin Askew, Long Beach State Basketball
Senior Devin Askew led Long Beach State to a 2-0 start in Big West action with wins at Cal State Fullerton and at home against Hawai’i. He averaged 22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals over the two games, leading the Beach in scoring in both wins.
