HIGH SCHOOL

Nytrell Miller, Lakewood Football

JP Mialovski, Millikan Football

He had a short night in a lopsided win but Millikan QB JP Mialovski made the most of it, throwing two touchdowns in a win over Jordan.

Juda Washington, Millikan Volleyball

Millikan senior opposite Juda Washington had a team-high 12 kills plus three blocks to lead Millikan to an impressive sweep of Wilson last week.

Layla Moore, Long Beach Poly Volleyball

Long Beach Poly’s Layla Moore was fantastic in the middle in a sweep of Lakewood with 5 kills and 5 blocks; the victory clinched at least a share of the Moore League title.

Loren Fearance, Long Beach Poly Golf

Long Beach Poly freshman Loren Fearance is one of the city’s top high school golfers already; she shot 33 against Millikan on Tuesday at Big Rec and a 32 vs Cabrillo Thursday at Skylinks, both scores under par.
