Weird things always happen on or near Friday the 13th, and it’s certainly unique that Jordan will play its home opener under its second head coach of the season.
The Panthers (1-2) got new coach Eric Richardson a win in his first game at the helm last week, and they host La Mirada tonight with kickoff at Compton College scheduled for 7 p.m.
Last year, Jordan defeated La Mirada on the road 28-10 in a sloppy game.
La Mirada is coming off a 38-28 loss to Tesoro, and have yet to win a game this season Despite being winless, Jordan can not sleep on the Matadores. La Mirada averages about 330 yards and 21 points a game.
