The562’s coverage of high school volleyball in 2024-2025 is brought to you by the MLP’s Bay Area Breakers.

It’s volleyball season in Long Beach, and the city’s teams have already been running for the last couple of weeks, with league play slated to start this Thursday. Three teams have won the Moore League title in the last two seasons, with Long Beach Poly and Wilson sharing it last season and Lakewood taking it the year before.

It should be an intense race for the league title with multiple teams capable of competing in the CIF Southern Section postseason, depending on where they slot in divisions at the end of the regular season.
