The562’s coverage of high school volleyball in 2024-2025 is brought to you by the MLP’s Bay Area Breakers.
The562’s coverage of Jordan Athletics is sponsored by former LBUSD superintendent Chris Steinhauser.
The Jordan girls volleyball team is set for a busy indoor season as coach Lara Stone gets the Panthers ready to compete this season.
“We are on track to have an almost maxed out season with non-league games and tournaments,” Stone said. “Looking forward to see how these non-league matches help our growth as a team and open up opportunities to play within our own division.”
Last season, Jordan went 3-14 and finished sixth in Moore League action.
Savannah Hernandez is the only senior on the team and juniors Precious Omolafe and Jaeden Acevedo are two of the three returning varsity players.
The Panthers will fill the roster with returners from last year’s lower levels.
Stone is looking forward to how the team comes together throughout the season and prepare for league action.
“Our team knows they have to come together on the court no matter what, and when they fight they chase every ball down,” Stone said. “They have developed quite the volleyball IQ learning various variations of rotations and positions to play with the players we have in any given game day.”
