The562 is excited to announce that the Terry Donahue Memorial California Showcase is now our official sponsor of football coverage for the 2024-2025 school year.
The California Showcase is a free recruiting event founded by coach Terry Donahue, who was at UCLA from 1976-95 and retired as the winningest coach in Pac-12 and UCLA history. The nonprofit, one-day skills combine on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Great Park in Irvine is for graduating high school seniors and second-year community college student-athletes to show their skills to NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA football coaches.
After the combine, players and coaches from the colleges and universities meet to discuss scholarship and financial aid opportunities. This will be the 12th year of the event.
“This is the type of nonprofit organization that we want to be involved with,” said The562.org co-founder JJ Fiddler. “Too often great student-athletes are passed over by college coaches because of their measurables. This is a chance for great leaders and football players to break through to the next level despite their height and weight.”
