Lakewood alum Anthony Eyanson recently earned a major honor following an excellent sophomore season with UC San Diego. Eyanson earned second-team All-Big West after a season that saw him start nine games as the team’s Friday starter. He had a 3.07 ERA and led the team in both innings pitched and strikeouts.
Eyanson was good enough to get an invite to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp, taking place in North Carolina at the end of this month. The 56 best non-draft eligible college players in the country will participate in the Camp, with the roster split into two groups at its conclusion. The two teams will plate against each other on July 4, and will play other games as well in late June and early July.
Eyanson has been shooting up draft projection boards and will be one of the nation’s top collegiate players in 2025.
