Wilson’s duo of Kate Eckenrode and Simrin Adams led the way for Long Beach at this year’s CIF-SS Beach Volleyball Individual Pairs Championships, held recently at the Newland Courts in Huntington Beach.
Eckenrode and Adams advanced out of their group stage and finished in a tie for ninth place out of 64 pairs competing in the tournament. They finish the season with an overall record of 22-3 as a pair.
The Bruins fell against a talented duo from Huntington Beach High School, dropping a 21-17, 21-17 result to Haylee LaFontaine and Dani Sparks, who are both committed to play beach volleyball at Cal Poly.
Millikan also had representation in the pairs competition, with Sophia Orbiso and Olivia Jean Smith, plus Bethany Arnold and Lila Walters each making it to pool play.
