Long Beach Poly has hired Jackrabbit alum Angel Zavala to be the new girls’ soccer coach at the school. Zavala is a club coach with Beach FC and was Poly’s frosh/soph coach in the most recent season. Zavala replaces Anthony Perez, who resigned following the most recent season.
“I’m super excited,” said Zavala. “I’m ecstatic to be home at Poly and to make a difference. I believe in these girls and this coming season we’re going to make some great moves.”
The Jackrabbits return plenty of talent including Defensive Player of the Year Alex Valente and recent San Jose State commit Sydney Santos.
