A rescheduled game due to weather didn’t stop Long Beach State from taking the Big West Conference series with Cal State Northridge with a 2-1 walk-off win on Tuesday at LBSU Softball Complex.
LBSU (12-23, 7-2) has now won six of its 12 games this season in walk-off fashion.
Junior Rebekah Durazo had a home run and a double in the come from behind victory while senior Sophia Fernandez was once again fantastic in the circle. She scattered four hits and struck out five while allowing one run to grab her fourth Big West win.
CSUN took their first lead on a solo home run from Jerzie Liana in the top of the fifth, but the Beach answered back with a solo home run of their own, the second of the season from Durazo to tie it 1-1.
