Moore League track and field got started on Wednesday afternoon, with some marquee matchups between some of the city’s top teams.
In a landmark win for the early season, Wilson swept Long Beach Poly to take an inside track (and field) on a Moore League title. The Bruins hadn’t swept the Jackrabbits since 1995 but took massive wins on both the boys (82-49) and girls (80-51) side. We’ll have a full photo gallery from the meet this evening.
Jordan also edged out a resurgent Millikan program in a pair of thrillers, with the Panthers boys winning 65-61 and the girls winning 61-56.
We’ll have our full city-wide track and field preview next week!
