Before its Moore League game with Wilson was postponed due to lightning on Thursday, Millikan girls’ soccer won the Best in the West Tournament last weekend.
The Rams won their group earlier this month by playing a 3-3 draw with Pacifica and 1-0 victory over Citrus Valley. They beat Oaks Christian 2-1 in the semifinals on Saturday, and then goals from senior Audrey Stewart and junior Variah Sanchez carried the Rams past Huntington Beach 2-1 in the final.
It’s the first time Millikan has won the elite varsity tournament.
