Jordan Washington, Jordan Football
Jordan senior Jordan Washington is having a standout season, and the Arizona commit put up big numbers against Wilson in a narrow win. Washington had 255 yards of total offense and two touchdowns in the victory.
Ezekiel Orozco, Long Beach Poly Football
Long Beach Poly junior receiver Ezekiel Orozco has been a consistent target for the Jackrabbits, and he once again came up big for them in a win over Cabrillo, with two catches for 105 yards, both touchdowns.
Ryan Pellum, Millikan Football
Millikan senior star Ryan Pellum had another big game for the Rams last week, putting up numbers in a win over Compton. The USC commit had four touchdowns with over 200 yards of total offense.
Elijah and Jasiah Lolesio-Pua, St. Anthony Football
The Lolesio-Pua brothers were the stars of the night for St. Anthony in their big win over St. Genevieve. Jasiah had eight catches for 133 yards and a score plus a 65-yard punt return for a TD, while Elijah had 76 yards rushing and a score.
Babi Gubbins, Wilson Volleyball
Bruins senior Babi Gubbins led Wilson to a share of the Moore League championship in a four-set win over Poly. The Stanford-bound senior had 14 kills, 21 digs, three aces and a pair of blocks for the Bruins in the win.
Jason Parra, Millikan Cross Country
Rams senior Jason Parra, a Notre Dame commit, is two-for-two in his senior year. After winning at El Dorado he won the second Moore League meet of the year at Signal Hill last week, with a time of 16:31.
Avery Peck, Long Beach Poly Cross Country
Poly sophomore Avery Peck bounced back to win the Moore League’s second meet of the year, after falling short at El Dorado. Peck ran a 19:16 at Signal Hill to grab the individual victory.
COLLEGE
Zayna Meyer, Long Beach State Volleyball
Zayna Meyer piloted Long Beach State to a .393 team attack percentage as the Beach swept both UC Davis and UC Riverside. In addition to averaging 10.50 assists per set, Meyer also contributed 2.33 digs per set, 2.17 kills per set, 0.83 blocks per set, and hit an incredible .722 (13-0-18).
