A pair of first half goals from Cherrie Cox lifted Long Beach State to a 2-1 win over visiting UC San Diego last weekend. The sophomore forward has scored four goals in the last two games and leads the Big West Conference with 10 goals this season. Elysia Laramie assisted on the second goal and leads the conference with six assists.
The Beach (8-5-3, 3-2-2) is tied for third in the Big West with three games left in the regular season. They travel to UC Riverside and Fullerton this week.
