Wilson (3-4, 2-2) hosts a pivotal Moore League contest Friday evening as they welcome in Jordan (5-2, 1-2), in a battle of two teams tied in the league loss column.
The Bruins and Panthers are locked into a battle for the Moore League’s third guaranteed playoff spot with Lakewood, which also has two losses.
The game will be a fun meeting of three of the top running backs in the area, as Arizona-committed Jordan Washington leads his Panthers against the two-headed rushing threat of Christian Chapman and Laighton Scott V. All three backs are capable of breaking off a long touchdown on any carry, and have put up gaudy numbers at various points this season.
The winner will likely be whichever defense does a better job containing the other’s big play ability. The 562 will have full coverage and live updates.
There will also be plenty of off-field action as Wilson dedicates the Keith Hansen Rally Stage before the game, and honors its CIF State champion girls’ track team.
Wilson will visit Lakewood next week while Jordan travels to Cabrillo.
