Compton is looking to get some payback tonight when it hosts Paramount. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Compton College.
Last year, Compton turned the ball over five times in the non-league clash at Paramount. The last fumble came in the middle of the fourth quarter when Paramount stripped the ball and scored what would be the game-winning touchdown.
Compton (1-1) picked up its first win of the season last week at Centennial 57-6, but coach Calvin Bryant knows his team has a tough test with the Pirates.
“They are a dangerous team with good athletes,” Bryant said of Paramount. “Their defense has a lot of speed that we must match… We have to execute and play with intensity.”
Paramount (0-2) already has lopsided losses to Santa Ana and Narbonne by a combined score of 78-19.
