The Long Beach Poly football team is in Oregon for a marquee game tonight against national No. 2 Bishop Gorman, as the Jackrabbits and Gaels play at the Nike World HQ as part of the NFL Kickoff Classic. The Jackrabbits are fresh off a win over Hawaii Division 1 state champion Konawaena but will be heavily tested by a deep and talented BG squad.
“We’re looking forward to the game and we know we’ve got to play well in every phase,” said Poly football coach Stephen Barbee. “It’s a big game and a big event and our kids are grateful for the opportunity.”
The Jackrabbits will have close to their full roster available after the CIF-SS clearances of their starting defensive tackle and receiver, and star linebacker Dylan Williams will be available to play as well.
