The Lakewood girls’ 4×100 quartet of Amaya Rice, Jai’ya Jones, Naleyah Davis, and Brooklyn Lee have had a historic season.
The fearsome foursome continued to write their names in the Lakewood record books as they set a new school record of 46.69 at the CIF State prelims on Friday night. They ran a 46.81 at the Finals on Saturday, which was good enough for fourth-place in the state. The Lancers crew has improved virtually every week over the last two months, and a fourth-place finish with an underclassmen-filled relay shows how bright the future is.
