Cabrillo took over the top spot in Moore League boys’ soccer with a 3-1 victory at Wilson on Wednesday.
Javier Palomeres gave the Jaguars a lead in the 38th minute off a long throw in from Joe Ibarra. They doubled their advantage in the 55th minute when Nathan Mosqueda beat three defenders with a slalom run before assisting on Martin Robles Ruiz’s finish.
Robles Ruiz scored his brace before Wilson scored off a 70th minute corner kick, and then he scored his hat trick on a 75th minute penalty kick earned by Palomeres.
Cabrillo (6-2-2, 20 pts.) is two points clear of second-place Millikan and visits Jordan on Friday. Wilson (3-4-3, 12 pts.) is fifth and travels to Poly on Monday.
