Amaan Zavir, St. Anthony Basketball
Amaan Zavir earned All-Tournament honors in the Silver Division of the Damien Classic last week, leading the Saints to a third-place finish. Zavir is a talented underclassman leading a young Saints team this season.
Ryann Bennett, St. Anthony Basketball
St. Anthony junior Ryann Bennett scored her 1,000 career point last week in St. Anthony’s 79-74 loss against Caruthers High at the Gold Crown Holiday Tournament in San Diego. Bennett is averaging 19.2 points pere game this season.
Sean Oliver, Wilson Basketball
Wilson’s Sean Oliver led the Bruins to a consolation championship at the Tustin Holiday Classic last week. Oliver led Wilson with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in the tournament, earning all-tourney honors.
COLLEGE
Tori Harris, Long Beach State Basketball
Tori Harris opened up Big West action in a big way as she averaged 21.5 points per game while shooting 62.5 (15-24) from the field. Harris led the Beach to a 2-0 start to conference play with wins over UCSD and UC Riverside.
