The high school volleyball playoffs are already underway, as Millikan got an early match in Tuesday evening in a rescheduled first-round Division 3 match. The Rams went on the road to Paloma Valley and showed out for Long Beach, sweeping their hosts 25-21, 25-15, 25-18.
With the win, Millikan will now have a long layoff as the other first-round matches are played Thursday, and will await a second-round match on Saturday. They’ll play the winner of Mayfield and Alemany. If Mayfield, the top seed in Division 3, wins its opening round match on Thursday then the Rams will host them on Saturday in the second round.
