Third time’s the charm, right? The Saints are looking to gain their first win of the season in week three against the Dominguez Dons. After a disappointing back-to-back losses, the Saints are looking to change momentum this week at Compton College.
Both teams are trying to continue last season’s success into the 2022-2023 year, yet both the Saints and the Dons might still have new season jitters.
Last week, the Saints were octupled by the Mayfair Monsoon, 49-6, while the Dons lost 26-7 against Peninsula, Rolling Estates, a reversal of last year’s scoring roles where the Dons won 26-7. This was the same Peninsula team who the Jordan Panthers defeated, 41-35, on August 26.
Kick-off is set for Sept. 2 at 7 P.M. at Compton College, as coach Raul Lara and crew try to avoid a sophomore slump.
