Olivia Herrera, Wilson Soccer
Olivia Herrera has been a lockdown goalie throughout her career at Wilson, and last week she delivered her Bruins a Moore League championship. Herrera was a star at keeper in a scoreless draw with Millikan that clinched it for Wilson.
Kamaury Washington, Millikan Basketball
Millikan was in a must-win tiebreaker with Wilson on Sunday for the Moore League’s last playoff spot. Kamaury Washington was the hero for the Rams with 26 points to lead them to a 65-62 win and a spot in the postseason.
Kristal Caldwell, Long Beach Poly Basketball
Poly senior Kristal Caldwell has been a star on defense for the Jackrabbits this year. She averaged eight steals a game last week including an eye-popping stat line of 13 steals in a win over Jordan.
COLLEGE
Alex Nikolov, Long Beach State Volleyball
Alex Nikolov led Long Beach State with his third 20-kill performance of the season. The true freshman registered 24 kills on a .429 attack percentage, while adding three aces, two digs, two blocks, and one assist. On the week he averaged 6.00 kills per set.
