Long Beach Poly’s girls’ tennis team went on the road and defeated host El Monte 15-3 in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 4 playoffs last Friday. The Jackrabbits advanced to Monday’s quarterfinal round, which will see Poly host Carpinteria at 2 p.m. on campus.
If Poly can advance past Monday’s quarterfinal they’d play in the semifinals on Wednesday against the winner of Geffen Academy and Garden Grove.
In other Friday action, Wilson fell to Troy, 11-7.
