Laura Williams, Lakewood Volleyball
Lakewood senior and Oregon State commit Laura Williams helped lead the Lancers to their first Moore League title since 2017 in a sweep of Wilson last week. Williams put up nine kills and three aces in the victory.
Damian Henderson, Jordan Football
Jordan junior Damian Henderson continues to be one of the city’s most exciting players. In a win over Wilson he had a 78-yard touchdown catch, a 60-yard touchdown run, and an interception to help lead the Panthers to their first win over Wilson in a decade.
Donovan Poe, Long Beach Poly Football
Long Beach Poly’s senior leader celebrated his 18th birthday in style on the road on Friday, helping to lead Poly to a dominant win over Aquinas. Poe had a recovered fumble, two sacks, and three tackles for a loss in the victory.

Erykah Lovett, Long Beach State Volleyball
Long Beach State freshman Erykah Lovett got the start at outside hitter last week and led the Beach to a 1-1 split in two matches. She averaged 3.5 kills per set and 3 digs per set in the pair of matches.
