The St. Anthony girls’ basketball team won a lopsided contest against St. Pius in their home opener, 109-13. The Saints led 79-5 at halftime and 101-9 after three. The Saints were led by 26 points from Melaiah Joseph, and 17 points apiece from Laila Hughes, Kade Lloyd, and Ava Washington.
Despite being short handed, Long Beach State men’s basketball won its eleventh straight game on Thursday night at Cal State Northridge.
