Long Beach City College sophomore Jace Bass led the Vikings in an impressive set of games last week, scoring 46 points in the first, 21 in the second, and 41 points in the third game, while shooting better than 60% from the field.
Ma’Qhi Berry, Long Beach State Basketball
Long Beach State’s Ma’Qhi Berry led the Beach to a Big West Conference-opening victory over Cal Poly with a big night while playing all 40 minutes of the game. The Beach won 72-69 as Berry scored 24 points on 9/13 shooting with four rebounds and four assists.
