The Long Beach Poly girls’ basketball team is ranked No. 6 in the nation and, as expected, took care of business against Compton to remain undefeated in the Moore League. The Jackrabbits (14-2) actually got their toughest league test of the season in a 63-23 win over Compton.
Poly was led by Kalaya Buggs’ 16 points, nine from Lilly Buggs, eight from Laila Sanchez, and seven from Nala Williams.
The Jackrabbits have won their three league games by a combined 253-47. They host Lakewood (Monday), visit Wilson (Wednesday) and host Millikan (Friday) next week.
