The Wilson boys’ water polo team had its CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoff run come to a heartbreaking end in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Wilson (22-11) came back from an early deficit to pull even with Schurr, but a goal in the final seconds for the home team ended the Bruins season 11-10.
Wilson cruised to easy victories over Malibu and Ventura in the first two rounds at Belmont Outdoor Pool.
Schurr (28-4) won the Almont League and routed Alta Loma before edging South Pasadena 7-6 in the second round.
