After attending Long Beach State and creating the first full sports page at the Union Weekly Newspaper, he has been exclusively covering Long Beach prep sports since 2007.
The Avalon High 8-Man football team got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 40-8 victory at ACES. Jason Campos, Jose Silva and DeAngelo Reyes ran the ball hard for Avalon while Cristo Hernandez and Beto Martinez anchored the defense. Avalon hosts St. Michael’s Prep on Saturday at 1 p.m.
