After an excellent start to the season with a 20-0 win over Bellflower, Cabrillo was trying to improve to 2-0 for the first time since joining the Moore League. The Jaguars ran into a hungry Summit team that came out with the win in Cabrillo’s home opener, 42-6.
The Jaguars trailed 15-0 after the first quarter then scored early in the second half to make it 15-6. But Summit pulled away to win it with the game’s final three touchdowns. Stoart Serioza scored the touchdown for Cabrillo.
The Jaguars (1-1) will face Glenn on the road next week then host Taft on September 14.
