The Wilson softball team trailed by four runs after the fifth inning of their CIF Southern Section Division 3 opener at San Dimas on Thursday. However, the Bruins stormed back to score three times in the sixth, and four times in the seventh to win 8-5.
Junior Sinclair Lawhorn was the only Wilson player with two hits, and freshman Leah Pettway drove in three runs. Senior Michelle Dominguez finished with a hit, two RBIs and two runs scored.
Wilson (16-11) will host the second round on Tuesday.
