The Dirtbags couldn’t get much going offensively on Friday night as Long Beach State (7-29, 2-6 Big West) suffered a 7-1 setback against visiting Cal Poly (18-17, 9-2 Big West) on Bohl Diamond at Blair Field. Junior Jacob Hughey lined a single into center field in the third inning to extend his hitting streak to six games. That matches the longest hitting streak of the year for the Dirtbags.
