Long Beach City College men’s basketball advanced in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Regional Playoffs on Friday at Hall of Champions with a 78-70 win over No. 21 Santiago Canyon.
The No. 11 Vikings (25-4) are on a 10-game winning streak, and the third round of the regional is on Saturday, March. 9 with the opponent and location to be announced.
LBCC freshman guard Jace Bass led the way with 28 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals. Sophomore guard Jeremiah Sadler and freshman guard Aaron Jelks both scored 10 points for the Vikings, while sophomore forward Charles Smith had a game-high four blocks.
