Someone is getting their first Moore League win of the year tonight at Cabrillo where the Jaguars are hosting the Jordan Panthers.
Cabrillo (1-5, 0-2) is coming off back-to-back 48-0 losses after picking up its first win of the season over Compton Centennial. Senior running back/linebacker Fesoeh Kaowili will be back on the field for the Jaguars, and will be a major key on both sides of the ball.
Jordan (3-4, 0-3) has lost its first three league games after winning three consecutive nonleague game for the first time since 2008. The Panthers will likely lean on running back DeShon Harris again this week. The senior has rushed for 539 yards and seven touchdowns.
Coach Tim Wedlow said Jordan quarterback/defensive back Anthony Scott has been day-to-day this week after suffering an injury in the loss at Wilson last week. The junior has nine touchdowns, and is second on the team with 42 tackles.
Cabrillo and Jordan have split their last four meetings.
