Pierre Robinson, LBCC Football
The Vikings have a talented backfield this year but the leader of the group is Pierre Robinson, a gifted runner who’s leading the team in yards (277) and yards per carry (7.4). He had a great night against Cerritos on Saturday with nine carries for 90 yards and two touchdowns in an LBCC win.
Dana Fujikuni, Long Beach State Soccer
Last week’s Big West conference opener against Fullerton was hovering on the brink of disaster, with Long Beach State trailing 1-0 almost the entire contest and in danger of losing their first game to a team outside the top 15 nationally. Dana Fujikuni was the hero with the equalizer in the 71st minute, kissing a shot off the inside of the left post to salvage the day for Long Beach.
