A winning streak is on the line for the Jordan Panthers tonight at 7 when they visit Norwalk at the Excelsior School. Last week, Jordan won its second consecutive game for the first time since 2015.
“We’re very excited for this game,” Jordan coach Tim Wedlow said. “Norwalk has some good athletes, and they run the ball very well.”
Norwalk (0-3) has been outscored 133-42 this season in losses to Pacifica, Valley Christian and Bell Gardens. Last year the Lancers beat Jordan 42-15, and they edged the Panthers 7-6 in 2016.
Jordan junior quarterback Anthony Scott and senior running back Deshon Harris have scored all of the Panthers’s touchdowns this season. Scott is second on the team in tackles behind sophomore linebacker Rayaun Howard.
